Dr Dolly Mittal is a Medical oncologist who is passionate about providing high quality, evidence-based care to her patients. Dr Mittal has completed her specialist medical oncology training across multiple hospitals in Queensland, including The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Mater Hospital Brisbane, Redcliffe Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital. Prior to that, she undertook basic physician training at The Prince Charles Hospital.

Dr Mittal has also worked as a Research Fellow at Mater Cancer Care Centre, South Brisbane which is well known for providing high quality care to patients with breast and gynaecological cancers in Queensland. During her fellowship, she has been actively involved as a co-investigator in most of the clinical trials and has gained an extensive knowledge in treating breast and gynaecological cancers. She is committed to providing high quality, evidence-based care to patients with solid organ malignancies with a focus on biological, targeted treatment and immunotherapies. She is known for her kind and approachable nature.

Dr Paul Kalokerinos is a Medical Oncologist with extensive experience throughout the major cancer centres of South East Queensland. He delivers high-level, evidencebased cancer treatment at Mater Cancer Care Centre and Mater Private Hospital Redland.

Dr Kalokerinos’ training involved treating large numbers of patients in cancer units throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast regions. He has extensive experience in caring for patients with a wide range of cancer subtypes, both common and rare and has been exposed to the most advanced cancer treatments through his work with patients enrolled in clinical trials. Prior to completing his training in Queensland, he worked in the United Kingdom at well recognised centres including The Royal Free and Kings College hospitals.

Dr Kalokerinos is committed to staying at the forefront of international developments. He firmly believes that the open communication and active involvement of patients in their management plans is essential to providing optimal care. He also recognises the necessity of integrating other health care professionals, specialists, and general practitioners into the long-term oncological plans of newly diagnosed cancer patients. Dr Jones completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Queensland in 2007. He undertook basic physician training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and completed 3 years of advanced training in Medical Oncology in 2016. This training included work at the Royal Brisbane, Princess Alexandra, Mater, Toowoomba and Gold Coast Hospitals.

He has extensive experience managing all solid tumour types. He has been involved in many phase III trials exploring novel cancer drugs. He has been the guest speaker at several meetings in Cairns, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast, and is also a member of a number of local and international organisations involved in the care of patients with cancer.

His expertise involves the use of not just chemotherapy and hormone therapy, but a range of small targeted molecules, immunotherapy, and other new biological agents. Given the rapidly changing landscape of knowledge in cancer care, he is regularly attending conferences and staying up to date with the latest advances in treatments for cancer patients with all tumour sub-types.

Dr Jones brings an empathetic and positive attitude towards managing his patients with cancer. He is dedicated to always providing a professional service and enabling his patients to be exposed to the most cutting edge clinical trials. He believes that to achieve optimal outcomes, a focus needs to be not only on the cancer treatments, but also on the psychosocial dynamics of the patient and their families. Dr Nicola Lowrey completed a twelve month clinical research fellowship in the field of breast cancer, at the world renowned Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. Here she gained extensive experience in the use of Deep Inspiration Breath Hold technique, hypofractionated radiotherapy and locally advanced breast cancer.

Nicola treats all areas of general oncology with special interest in the management of breast, gynaecological and central nervous system tumours. Her research interests to date have been in the application of imaging techniques to improve radiotherapy planning and her major research in Toronto investigated the use of breast MRI to improve the accuracy of radiotherapy planning for women who have had breast conservation surgery.

She was awarded her Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 2015, following completion of her specialist training in Radiation Oncology in Brisbane. She completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2007 and was previously a diagnostic radiographer, graduating from the Queensland University of Technology in 1996.

Dr Tuan Ha is completed his Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland in 2007.

Dr Ha was awarded Fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2015.

After obtaining his Fellowship, Dr Ha worked as a Radiation Oncologist on the Fraser Coast, where he developed a special interest in rural and regional oncology, he continues to work to improve access to radiation oncology services within rural and regional Queensland.

With keen interest in education he is a senior lecturer and examiner for the University of Queensland School of Medicine as well as the Royal Australian College of Radiologists. He continues his advocacy work for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists as a member of the Economics and Workforce Committee.

He is also volunteer with St Johns Ambulance as a community medical officer and was awarded the 2011 Queensland Disaster Hero Medal for his work during the 2011 Queensland floods.

Dr Ha treats all malignancies and has specific interest in palliative medicine and the treatment of brain, lung, skin, head and neck cancers.
