Dr McGregor completed his Medical Degree with first class honours from the University of Queensland. Following this he completed and was awarded a PhD from Monash University. He completed his advanced surgical training at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and at various hospitals around the state

As well as many broad general surgery terms, he completed subspecialty training terms in paediatric, vascular, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, bariatric, breast, endocrine and colorectal surgery. He also trained in colonoscopy and upper endoscopy and is certified in both by the Gastrointestinal Society of Australia

Dr McGregor is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery. He is a member of the Breast Section of the RACS, General Surgeons Australia and sits on the Qld Regional Board of General Surgery. He is the Director of Surgical Training at Redcliffe Hospital and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at The University of Queensland. He is a busy dad with 4 young children.

He thoroughly enjoys the challenges and variety of being a General Surgeon. He has particular interest in advanced laparascopic surgery, including hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery & bowel resection. His other main focus and interest is caring for ladies with breast cancer.

Heidi Peverill grew up in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane and is a locally trained Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She has completed subspecialty training in Oncoplastic Breast Cancer and Melanoma Surgery. Having gained her FRACS in 2012, Heidi has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors and is very experienced in all aspects of surgical care.

Heidi works to ensure the best oncologic outcome as well as ensuring the optimal aesthetic result for each and every patient, with both Breast Cancer or Melanoma and is passionate about ensuring patients feel informed and confident when making decisions about their treatment, Heidi also treats benign breast disease and performs other general surgery including gallbladder surgery, hernia surgery and emergency general surgery.

As well as treating private patients, Heidi maintains public appointments at both Princess Alexandra Hospital and Redlands hospital performing both Breast and General Surgery.

Heidi enjoys teaching junior medical staff and medical students and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland as well as a Senior Instructor on the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons “Care of the Critically III Surgical Patient” course.
