A general adult and subspecialist paediatric ophthalmologist who provides caring comprehensive eye care for the whole family. She enjoys treating a wide range of general ophthalmic conditions in patients from birth to over 90 years old

Dr Sharwood undertook her general ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital before completing additional subspecialty fellowships in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Cambridge University Hospitals and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London.
In addition to consulting and operating at Westside Private Hospital she is a visiting medical officer at the Queensland Childrens Hospital, an examiner in Ophthalmic Sciences for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland.
