Dr Lauren Young is a specialist dermatologist, and member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD).

Having grown up in Brisbane, Lauren moved to Melbourne to study medicine at Monash University. She went on to complete her specialty training in dermatology in 2014, and received the travelling fellowship award for the most meritorious performance in the ACD’s national specialist exams. Lauren used this opportunity to visit dermatology units in major hospitals in the USA and Canada, to further her expertise in medical and paediatric dermatology.

Lauren subsequently undertook a fellowship in skin cancer management and Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and worked as a specialist dermatologist for several years at the Alfred Hospital and in private practice in Melbourne. Having returned home to Brisbane in 2018, Lauren has now established practice at Q Dermatology. In addition to private practice, Lauren remains engaged in teaching dermatology trainees, preparing for their specialty examinations. Lauren stays up to date with both foundational science and emerging dermatological innovations. She attends national and international specialty conferences, and publishes in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Lauren is passionate about delivering personalised, expert care to her patients and finds the human narrative the fundamental part of medical practice. Her particular expertise is in skin cancer, ensuring its early detection and gold-standard management. Lauren is one of few dermatologists who is sub-specialised in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancers. Dr Anojan (Ano) Navaratnam is a consultant Urologist who is a fully credentialed urological surgeon with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.  He is a robotic surgeon with interests in urologic oncology and endourology.

After growing up in Brisbane, Dr Navaratnam moved to Sydney to complete medical school where he graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales.  He then returned to Brisbane and completed his formal urological training.

Dr Quinn trained at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, before undergoing specialty training in Dermatology through tertiary hospitals in Queensland and Victoria. In Melbourne he received specialised training in melanoma and skin cancer at the Victorian Melanoma Service and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre – two of the largest Melanoma services in Australia. Dr Geoff Coughlin is Australia’s most experienced and highest volume robotic surgeon. He has performed over 2000 robotic operations. He was trained by the world leader in robotic prostatectomy Dr Vip Patel at the Global Robotics Institute in America for 2 years where he gained operative experience in over 1000 robotic prostatectomies. He is Australia’s most experienced robotic prostatectomy. He has published leading outcomes for robotic prostatectomy with respect to cancer control, urinary continence and erectile function.

In 2006 Dr Coughlin underwent fellowship training in laparoscopic surgery at St George’s NHS trust in London.

He completed his medical degree at the University of QLD in 1998. He trained in Urology in QLD and was awarded his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in January 2007.

Dr Coughlin underwent 2 years of fellowship training in robotic prostatectomy in the United States under the guidance of Dr Vipul Patel – the world leader in robotic prostatectomy.

In 2009 Dr Coughlin returned to Brisbane, Queensland and commenced Robotic Surgery programs at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and the Wesley Hospital. Dr Coughlin has an operative experience in excess of 1500 robotic prostatectomies. He co-authored the first Australian series of robotic partial nephrectomy (removal of kidney tumour with preservation of the kidney) and presented the first Australian series of Robotic Radical Cystectomy.

Dr Coughlin is a charter member of the Society of Robotic Surgery being recognised as one of the leading robotic surgeons in the world.

Dr Kiel is an Australian-trained Gastroenterologist. Dr Kiel completed advanced medical training in the field of Gastroenterology at Nambour and Royal Brisbane Hospitals, before completing a year as the Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Functional Gastrointestinal Fellow at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Post training, Dr Kiel completed a clinical observership at the Royal Melbourne Hospital with a focus on functional gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr Kiel sees patients with all gastrointestinal conditions, but has a special interest in both Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders. She is one of the few Gastroenterologists in Queensland trained in high-resolution oesophageal manometry, a procedure used to investigate patients with swallowing disorders. Dr Kiel also performs 24 hour pH studies, often used in the assessment of patients with difficult-to-treat gastroesophageal reflux disease. Dr Kiel performs upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, and is passionate about providing high-quality procedures for bowel cancer screening.

Dr Kiel remains committed to the provision of exceptional medical care. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, and is a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia, and the Queensland Gastroenterology Society. Dr Kiel is dedicated to ongoing learning and regularly attends both national and international meetings and conferences. Graham Radford-Smith is a gastroenterologist specializing in the field of Gut Health with a particular focus on Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), colorectal neoplasia, and non-inflammatory gut disorders. Graham developed the IBD centre at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 1997. He is Associate Professor within the Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland.

He is an honorary group leader at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute where he works with his team in the Gut Health research group, and Associate Professor within the Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland, Chair of the ANZ IBD consortium of clinicians, and Crohn’s Colitis Cure (a charity supporting research and clinical practice for clients with IBD).

Mark Cornwell studied Medicine at the University of Queensland and undertook Physician training at the Royal Prince Alfred and Princess Alexandra Hospitals before completing Gastroenterology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Mark then practiced in the Northern Rivers of NSW, gaining extensive experience in general Gastroenterology in a regional setting in both public and private practice.

His training in upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and capsule endoscopy is recognised by the Conjoint Committee and he has completed Colonoscopy Recertification.

Mark is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, GE Society of Australia, European Association for the Study of the Liver and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and has regularly attended national and international scientific meetings as part of his commitment to ongoing medical education.

Mark has participated in the education and training of medical students and doctors and has completed a Colonoscopy Train the Trainers course. He is a member of ANZGITA, a volunteer-based training organisation and has twice volunteered as an endoscopy trainer in Myanmar.
